Vikings’ Justin Jefferson Has Strong Words on Packers, Micah Parsons Trade
The Green Bay Packers stunned the NFL by acquiring Micah Parsons in a blockbuster trade that has tipped the power balance in the NFC North in their favor.
But for Minnesota Vikings star Justin Jefferson, it’s just more “juice” to one of the NFL’s greatest rivalries.
“For sure, definitely,” Jefferson told The Escapist’s D.J. Siddiqi, agreeing with Parsons adding more fuel to the rivalry. “Especially the type of guy that he is and the personality that he has. He likes to talk. He likes to showboat. He likes to talk a lot. That’s definitely one we’re going to look forward to.

“I definitely didn’t expect that trade for sure,” Jefferson added. “I don’t think anyone did. I didn’t expect Dallas to trade him, and especially for him to be in Green Bay. It’s definitely going to be interesting to see how he does with Green Bay, but it’s always going to be a challenge. We know that this division is difficult, probably one of the toughest divisions now. It definitely doesn’t make it any easier now with him being over here.”

Last year, Jefferson’s Vikings won both games against the Packers, but by a thin margin of two points each time.
The Packers landing Parsons catapulted Green Bay to the front of the division title chase as betting favorites.

However, Jefferson remains confident in the Vikings to add to their two-game winning streak over the Packers this season.
“We always have confidence in our players,” Jefferson said. “What we have on this side (can) compete against anyone, no matter who’s out there. Doesn’t matter if it’s a first-rounder or if it’s a free agent, we’re going out there to dominate. They’re just another team in the way, twice, with what we have to do at the end of the season, which is getting to the Super Bowl. It’s going to be interesting to see how he fits in, but I always have confidence in our guys to go out there and do what we need to do.”
