Warriors’ $37.5 Million Guard Moses Moody Suffers Injury
A critical Golden State Warriors guard with a legitimate shot at a starting role this year has incurred a slightly ominous new injury, and will undergo imaging to determine the severity of the ailment going forward.
Per Anthony Slater of ESPN, shooting guard Moses Moody has suffered what head coach Steve Kerr speculates is a “minor” calf injury, but the Warriors scheduled an MRI for Moody Saturday as a precaution.
Moody has already been ruled out for Golden State’s preseason road rematch on Sunday against the Los Angeles Lakers, along with All-Star veterans Stephen Curry and Jimmy Butler, plus former five-time All-Star Al Horford. Last week, the Warriors beat LA in San Francisco, 111-103.

The Lakers were missing all three of their best players in All-NBA superstars Luka Doncic and LeBron James and prolific shooting guard Austin Reaves, along with three-time All-Defensive Team guard Marcus Smart.
At least Reaves and Smart will be back in action on Sunday night, while James is set to be sidelined through the start of the 2025-26 regular season with a sciatica injury on his right side. Doncic’s availability remains unclear.
