Wegmans Chicken Nugget Recall: Map Shows States Impacted

Wegmans has issued a recall of its frozen chicken nuggets after reports of bone fragments being found in the product. The recall affects multiple states and has prompted a warning from the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS). Affected Products

The recall applies to the Wegmans Family Pack Fully Cooked Breaded Chicken Breast with Rib Meat in 46-ounce plastic packages. The recalled packages have a “Best If Used By” date of August 26, 2025, which can be found on the back of the package near the barcode. These products were manufactured on August 26, 2024, and bear the USDA establishment number P-33944 inside the USDA mark of inspection.

The affected chicken nuggets were distributed in Delaware, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Virginia and Washington, D.C.

According to the FSIS, the recall was initiated after Wegmans received multiple consumer complaints about finding bone fragments in the nuggets. While there have been no confirmed reports of injury, the FSIS has issued a public health alert to prevent potential harm to consumers.

What to Do with Recalled Food

Consumers who have purchased the recalled chicken nuggets are advised not to eat them. The FSIS recommends that customers either discard the product or return it to the store where it was purchased for a full refund.
