Wendy’s Announces ‘Frosty Day’ With New Menu Item
A new, limited edition Frosty dessert has been added to fast-food chain Wendy’s menu to celebrate its “first-ever” annual “Frosty Day,” which is on November 15, to coincide with the anniversary of the day the first Wendy’s restaurant opened in Columbus, Ohio, 56 years ago.
Why it Matters
The Frosty is a nostalgic dessert for many across the U.S., and creating an annual day to celebrate it, by releasing a new, limited edition flavor, aims to spark brand loyalty and encourage people to visit their nearest Wendy’s restaurant, as it faces increasing competition from the likes of McDonald’s and Burger King and prepares to several U.S. locations by 2026 as part of a turnaround plan.

What To Know
To celebrate the first-ever annual Frosty Day—which will take place worldwide on November 15—Wendy’s has introduced a new seasonal menu item: The Snickerdoodle Cookie Frosty Fusion.
Available at participating U.S. locations for a limited time, this dessert blends Wendy’s classic Vanilla Frosty with cinnamon snickerdoodle sauce and cookie crumbles—a nod to holiday baking nostalgia.
The original Frosty was one of five menu items created by founder Dave Thomas when Wendy’s first opened in 1969. Today, the Frosty has inspired international variations such as the Biscoff Frosty in the U.K. and the Caramel Toffee Frosty in Canada. Ohio—the brand’s home state—sold more Frosty desserts than any other U.S. state in 2024.
Wendy’s expanded its Frosty range throughout 2025, rolling out Frosty Swirls and other Frosty Fusions, including The Pop-Tarts Strawberry, Oreo Brownie, and Caramel Crunch flavors. The Snickerdoodle Cookie Frosty Fusion is the latest addition to this lineup (for a limited time).
What People Are Saying
Lindsay Radkoski, Wendy’s U.S. chief marketing officer, said: “Frosty has been at the heart of our menu since the very beginning – a treat that embodies the tradition, innovation, and legacy Wendy’s continues to stand for today. So it’s only fitting that we officially claimed November 15 as Frosty Day, a new tradition dedicated to our loyal customers and Frosty fans. We invite everyone to raise a spoon (or fry) and join us in celebrating this iconic frozen dessert!”
What Happens Next
Wendy’s has committed to making Frosty Day an annual occasion, and the restaurant chain is encouraging fans to celebrate it on November 15 by sharing their Frosty experiences online.
