Who Are Christina Chambers, Johnny Rimes? Couple Found Dead in Home

Former broadcaster Christina Chambers and her husband Johnny Rimes Jr. were found dead in their home in an apparent murder-suicide, AL.com reported.

The Context

The Hoover Police Department in Alabama said on Facebook that first responders pronounced a male and a female dead from gunshot wounds at a residence on Tuesday. Police said a 3-year-old child was located at the home but was unharmed.

“Although the investigation is in its early stages, it appears these deaths are the result of a murder/suicide and there is no threat to the public related to this case,” the Hoover Police Department wrote.

While the Hoover Police Department told Newsweek it was unable to confirm the identities of the deceased, WBRC, where Chambers had worked as a sports reporter, said that she had died in an apparent murder-suicide.

What To Know

Chambers, 38, and Rimes, 41, married in 2021, according to Jefferson County marriage records. The two shared a toddler son.
