Who Will Sign Aaron Rodgers? Breaking Down “Aaron Rodgers Next Team” Odds

Betting on a player or coach’s next destination is not nearly as common here in the United States as it is in countries like the U.K., but it is possible at some sportsbooks.

Right now, days before free agency officially gets underway at 4 p.m. ET on Wednesday, March 12 — and with legal tampering beginning today at noon — DraftKings offers betting odds on where a few notable players will sign their next contract.

Aaron Rodgers, Cooper Kupp and Joey Bosa all have odds listed at DK, but the former is the one we’re focusing on right now)

Aaron Rodgers Next Team Odds (as of 3/10)

Below are the odds on the top Rodgers suitors’ chances of landing the 41-year-old former MVP.

Rodgers’ Next Team DraftKings Odds
Steelers +125
Giants +125
Vikings +350
Seahawks +500
Titans +1000
Colts +2500
49ers +2500
Browns +3000

Every team in the league’s Rodgers odds are currently posted, but 24 of 32 clubs are listed at +10000 (100-to-1) — translation: not happening.

Of the eight clubs with odds of 30-to-1 or shorter, four appear to have a real chance: the Seahawks, Vikings, Giants and Steelers. There has to be a reason the Titans, Colts, 49ers and Browns’ odds indicate they’re in the mix, but this appears to be a four-team race, with two clear favorites.

Steelers’ Odds to Sign Aaron Rodgers (+125)

Could we really see Rodgers team up with Mike Tomlin, George Pickens and the recently acquired DK Metcalf?

Based on the current odds, and a tweet from NFL insider Adam Schefter this morning, the answer is absolutely. The Steelers played Justin Fields and Russell Wilson under center in 2024, but both are now unrestricted free agents.

Rodgers would solidify a position that has been a revolving door for this franchise since Ben Roethlisberger’s retirement after the 2021 season. The question is whether Tomlin and the old-school Steelers are interested in a quarterback who is not only going to turn 42 in December, but who caused a ton of well-documented drama over the last couple years and tore his Achilles in 2023.

If Rodgers can play like he did late in 2024, stay healthy and accept not being able to influence roster decisions, he could be a quality rental for the Steelers, but those are all (obviously) massive ifs.

Giants’ Odds to Sign Aaron Rodgers (+125)

The other top contender to land Aaron Rodgers would see him stay in the Big Apple.

The question for New York, which started Daniel Jones, Drew Lock and Tommy DeVito under center in 2024, is whether it will sign Rodgers to a short-term deal or pick a quarterback at No. 3 in the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft.

The Giants don’t quite appear to be “just a quarterback away” after going 3-14 in 2024, but Rodgers would potentially solidify things under center for an offense that does boast one of the top young playmakers in the league in Malik Nabers.

If the decision ends up being a matter of where Rodgers wants to play, the Steelers seem like the more likely option, but which team can pay more will likely play a huge role in how this shakes out. The Giants currently have $47 million in cap space, according to the NFLPA.

It is also worth noting that the Giants were in the mix for Matthew Stafford in recent weeks before he ended up re-signing with the Rams. If that’s any indication, an aggressive offer by N.Y. for Rodgers shouldn’t shock anyone.

On the other hand, Giants GM Joe Schoen has not been a big spender on household names in previous years, but he is under substantial pressure to turn things around in 2025, and signing Rodgers would represent a bold swing at boosting this offense.
