Why Juan Soto Would Recommend World Baseball Classic for All MLB Stars
The World Baseball Classic was a win for fans, and a New York Mets superstar believed it could be valuable for Major League Baseball players, too.
The Dominican Republic fell short in this year’s WBC against the United States. However, Juan Soto still told reporters that playing in the tournament was “one of the best experiences” he’s ever had, per SNY.
While there was some controversy over teammates playing against each other and pitching limits, fans still enjoyed the WBC, as evidenced by the record viewership for the semifinals and final.

For Soto, playing in the World Baseball Classic was something he would recommend for anyone who has the chance.
“Definitely it helps my game,” Soto told reporters, per SNY. “We had David Ortiz, Pedro Martinez, Albert Pujols, Placido Polanco, Fernando Tatis Sr. — we have guys that played this game for so long and they gave us so much advice.”
It’s safe to say any player would love to be in the same room as the talent the Dominican Republic has produced currently and in the past. It certainly also says a lot that Soto, who is arguably a future Hall of Famer, is still seeking advice on how to get better.
The next World Baseball Classic isn’t official yet. However, there will already be major storylines to look forward to following Venezuela’s inspiring win over the United States in this year’s WBC final.
