Now that season two has concluded, you’re likely wondering if that’s all we’ll learn of Cassian Andor. Will we see him return to our screens? Well, we’ve done some digging to discover whether or not there’ll be a third season of Andor, and you can find all the information we’ve got below.
Will There Be an Andor Season 3?
It has been confirmed that Andor will not return for season three. Series showrunner Tony Gilroy recently told ScreenRant, “I think it’s time for me to go do something else.” Gilroy did, however, leave the door slightly ajar for Andor fans, saying, “I’ll never say never, but I mean, really, it’s been five and a half, six years.”
Gilroy currently has a film in the pipeline that he will write and direct. It’s set to star the Emmy-nominated Oscar Isaac, and it will be titled Behemoth!
“I’ve tried to leave things in better shape than I’ve took in my five years, and I’ve left them in better shape than I found them,” Gilroy says. “And I feel good about that. And right now I’d like to leave it like that.”
Is Andor Still Going To Have 5 Seasons?
Eager fans may be aware of Gilroy’s original plan for Andor to have five seasons, each with 12 episodes.
Each season would follow a similar structure to Andor‘s first season, which covers a year in the titular character’s life, with the final fifth set to lead into the events of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.
That plan, however, is no more. Andor will end following with season two, with no plans to renew for season three.
Andor Season 2 Finale – How To Watch
With the reveal that there will not be a season three of Andor, fans will want to tune in for the season two finale this Tuesday.
The Andor season two finale will be available to stream on Disney+ from 6 pm Pacific Time (PT) on May 13, 2025/9 pm Eastern Time (ET) on May 13, 2025.
