Wilmington DMV Active Shooter: Delaware State Police Responding

The Delaware State Police (DSP) have a suspect in custody after responding to an active shooter incident at the Department of Motor Vehicles in Wilmington Tuesday, according to a post from the department on X.

No information was immediately available about possible injuries or fatalities.

“Update: “There is no longer an active shooter and one suspect is in custody,” DPS said in an updated post.

The incident occurred at the DMV on Hessler Boulevard in Wilmington, which is near several stores including a Lowe’s Home Improvement store and a Dollar Tree.
