Woman Due to Give Birth on Sister’s Wedding Day, Shock at What Happens
A woman whose due date coincided with her sister’s wedding day has been hailed online for doing everything she could to attend—even with a surprise guest in tow.
Shortly after Emma Kate Brock, 23, booked the venue for her wedding, her older sister, Anna Beth Hall, 25, revealed that she also had exciting news. Hall told Brock that she was going to be an auntie, leaving the sisters absolutely overjoyed at what 2025 would bring.
But once they were over the initial excitement, Brock, of Kentucky, came to realize that the baby would arrive around the same time as her wedding. Sure enough, when Hall finally learned her due date, it was the same as her sister’s big day.
Brock told Newsweek that she and her sister “discussed moving the wedding,” but they had limited availability and couldn’t make any other dates work.
“My mom never once said we should move it. She kept saying that the Lord will work it out, and he did,” Brock said.

The sisters worked out a contingency plan in case Hall was in labor on the wedding day. Their mom would be in the delivery room with Hall, while their dad would walk Brock down the aisle.
As it turned out, that wasn’t necessary because Hall went into labor a few days prior to the wedding. Her first child, baby Bo, was born on July 10 shortly after three am. Brock rushed to the hospital to see her sister and meet her nephew, but it raised the question of whether they’d be able to attend the wedding after all.
“I had mixed thoughts. I knew she wouldn’t miss it unless she absolutely had to, but I was afraid to ask because I didn’t want to put any pressure on her,” Brock continued.
Ultimately, their mom spoke to Hall about attending the wedding, and there was only one answer—she would be there.
It was a remarkable moment for everyone to see Hall walk down the aisle as the Matron of Honor at her sister’s wedding, just two days after giving birth. Brock was left “overwhelmed with emotion” to have her sister present on her special day, and she will never forget her incredible gesture.
Hall stayed for the ceremony and family photos, which also included baby Bo.
“I felt pure joy and love, and to know she sacrificed herself to be there for me was everything,” Brock said. “She’s a rockstar to say the least, and I cried all over again when I looked through the wedding photos.”
It was certainly a memorable week for the family, and Brock shared details of the whirlwind experience on TikTok (@ekcallihan). The post, which included several images from her wedding that were captured by Jonah Deaton (@itsjonahdeaton), has gone viral with over 2.1 million views and 243,400 likes on TikTok at the time of writing.

While she thought her sister’s selflessness would receive praise, Brock never imagined it would capture so much attention online. She presumed it was a rare occurrence, but to her surprise, many social media users commented with similar stories of their own.
“Everyone has been so nice, and I’m so glad they see just how strong my sister is,” Brock said.
In just a matter of days, internet users have praised Hall’s incredible determination, leading to over 4,100 comments so far.
One comment reads: “Sister love is unmatchable!”
Another TikTok user wrote: “How does it feel to be related to a superhero?”
While one commenter added: “The sweetest something blue you could have ever asked for at your wedding.”
