A cat owner kept finding defrosted raw food picked through while in the fridge, but she never knew how, until she caught the culprits red-handed during a coordinated food heist.
In a TikTok video posted on March 4 by @rascal_catts, an owner hid around the corner with a camera, observing the refrigerator like an undercover detective. Soon enough, she discovered her four cats drawn toward the prized deliciousness of human food.
The tuxedo cat took the lead, standing on the handle of the freezer and using its front paws to try and pull the door open. The others encouraged him to keep at it, ready to assist if needed. The ringleader thought he had succeeded when the door slightly budged, but the felines soon realized their owner had outsmarted them.
The owner explained in the video that she had tied the fridge shut as a precaution. Her instincts proved correct—she caught her cats red-handed, and as soon as they spotted her, they made a swift retreat.
