Woman Takes Kitten to First Vet Visit—Goes Exactly How You’d Expect

Bringing a pet to the vet’s office for an appointment can often cause owners headaches, but one woman’s chaotic experience left the internet in stitches.

Jacqueline Vagnone, who is known on TikTok as @jackieswagnone, brought her two kittens to the vet for their first appointment. She let them out of the carrier to explore the room while they waited. But that simple decision led to a game of catch-the-cat.

Her striped kitty, Princess Xena, kept running around the vet office room while the black kitten named Mouse watched from the exam table. One wouldn’t think it would be too difficult to catch a kitten inside a room, but Princess Xena proved otherwise.

Vagnone walked back and forth from one side of the room to the next, trying to catch Princess Xena in her June 3 TikTok video. The kitty proved too smart for her owner as she snuck her way through the tiny crack between the exam table and the wall. When Vagnone turned the corner to get the kitten, Princess Xena was already out to the other side. Frustration quickly crept onto Vagnone’s face.

“It went on for about 5 minutes until I captured Xena then the vet and tech came in!” she told Newsweek via email. “It wasn’t too pleasant after they got their needed vaccines!”

Vagnone thought the experience was “so funny,” which made her decide to put the phone down and capture the moment as she struggled to get Princess Xena. What she found even more hilarious was that the video quickly went viral.

“I have been trying to make curated content for a while and hadn’t had much success on TikTok’s algorithm,” she said. “Of course, the one video that takes two seconds to make involving kittens goes viral with now over 6 million views!”

TikTok users couldn’t get enough of this “Tom and Jerry” coded game, with many theorizing Vagnone was losing because her flip-flops were making too much noise.

“She said, ‘I’m going to make you work for this visit,'” a viewer commented.

A second person pointed out: “The other cat is like, ‘Wth is going on.'”

Others didn’t blame the kitty for playing: “Who decided that bench should have a tiny space between it and the wall in a vet’s office?”
