WWE News: US Champion Chelsea Green Bans Wedgies From All Pro Wrestling
Over its vast history, professional wrestling has been filled with a variety of moves aiming to target and weaken parts of the body and help finish off opponents.

However, some moves have been determined to be too dangerous and were soon banned by WWE.
Some moves that have been banned have been Randy Orton’s punt to the head, Seth Rollins’ Curb Stomp, and the piledriver.
Now, one WWE Superstar is adding another maneuver to that list.

On this past episode of Friday Night SmackDown, Naomi and Women’s United States Champion Chelsea Green faced off for a spot at Elimination Chamber.
Eventually, Naomi would come out on top, pinning Green to potentially earn a title shot at WrestleMania 41.
However, Naomi did this while executing a rarely seen maneuver: the wedgie.
Immediately, the clip began circulating online, leading the Canadian US Champion to say that fans were “disrespecting the United States” and that their comments were “not funny.”
Now, Green is using her position to take matters into her own hands.

In response, Green has taken to social media with a note from her office as “The First Ever Women’s United States Champion” officially banning wedgies from all professional wrestling matches.
“Dear Concerned Citizens,” the order read. “On the evening of Friday, February 14, 2025, the defendant, or as I say the culprit, Nasty Naomi, orchestrated a premeditated, juvenile, and inhumane attack on your United States Champion. Earlier today, my cabinet and I held an emergency vote.”
“In jurisdiction with Code 4292 of the penal agreement, and an unanimous vote of 99-1, I hereby ban the use of wedgies during professional wrestling matches.”
“Any further use of said ‘move’ can and will result in permanent banishment from my ring.”
“To my loyal followers of our beloved nation, I will not stand for this tyranny. Please rest assured you may continue to pledge your allegiance to Chelsea Green with the utmost confidence.”
“This will be my final comment on this matter.”

Naomi later commented on the incident, explaining why she did the now-banned move.
“I had to she was talking to much ish!” Naomi said on social media.
Time will tell how and when WWE will start enforcing this new rule.
