Seth Rollins is no longer the WWE World Heavyweight Champion. “Monday Night Raw” general manager Adam Pearce announced that as a result of his injuries sustained in the attack by Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed last week, Rollins will be out of action for the foreseeable future. That means the WWE World Heavyweight Championship has been vacated.
Prior to Pearce’s announcement, Breakker made his way out holding the title. He was accompanied by Reed and “The Oracle” Paul Heyman. Pearce informed The Vision that Rollins underwent surgery, and as a result, he has been stripped of the gold.
Rollins’ exit from The Vision stable was a way to write him off WWE TV due to a legitimate injury. The now former WWE World Heavyweight Champion injured himself during the “Crown Jewel” PLE in Perth. Rollins performed a modified coast-to-coast spot during his professional wrestling match with Cody Rhodes. As “The Visionary” was preparing to land, he broke his fall with his shoulder.

Future of the WWE World Heavyweight Championship
During last week’s episode of “WWE Raw,” CM Punk won a triple threat match against LA Knight and Jey Uso to become the No. 1 contender for the World Heavyweight Championship. He will now meet the winner of a battle royal to determine a new top male titleholder on the red brand at “Saturday Night’s Main Event” on Nov. 1.
Punk once held the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, but his reign only lasted several minutes. After pinning Gunther at “SummerSlam 2025” to capture the gold, Rollins successfully cashed in his Money in the Bank contract to become a two-time WWE World Heavyweight Champion. Rollins’ second run with the gold ends just short of 80 days.
There is still no word on whether or not Rollins will be able to return in time for “WrestleMania 42.” He was reportedly due for a major match at WWE’s biggest show of 2026.
