Yankees’ Aaron Judge Sends 2-Word Injury Message After Being Held Out of Outfield
🎙️ Voice is AI-generated. Inconsistencies may occur.
The New York Yankees have struggled since the start of June, and Aaron Judge’s injury is not helping them out.
While Judge is back in the lineup, he has been unable to play in the outfield as he recovers fully from his flexor strain. As a result, the Yankees are having to use Giancarlo Stanton in the outfield and giving him off days, with nowhere to put him in the lineup, since Judge is the designated hitter.
Having Judge back in the outfield guarantees that he and Stanton can both be in the lineup. Judge is not too happy about being held out of the outfield.

“It’s brutal,” Judge said of not being allowed to play defense, per MLB.com’s Bryan Hoch.
Judge went on to talk about how he prides himself on playing both sides, and wants to be able to contribute to the game on defense. Judge still figures to be the MVP favorite in the American League, but that does not seem important at this point.
The Yankees need Judge to get back in the field to get their best lineup out day in and day out. They entered Monday as a wild card team with plenty of work to do in order to win the division.
There is no timeline on when Judge will be able to throw again, but at this point, his absence from the outfield has already been longer than many expected.
