Zara Dress Goes Viral As No One Can Work Out How To Wear It: ‘Like This?’
A London woman has taken the internet by storm after sharing her struggle trying to figure out how to wear a Zara dress—leading to millions of views, countless comments and even the involvement of her family.
Aysat, a content creator, shared her fashion dilemma online after purchasing the Zara ZW Collection Printed Midi dress, which was on sale at the time. The dress, now sold out, had no clear instructions on how to wear it, leaving Aysat utterly confused.
“I saw a girl grab it and quickly go away while I was waiting for a sales associate to bring me a pair of boots. This made me think that I needed it, unfortunately,” she told Newsweek. But while filming a haul try-on for YouTube, she realized she had no idea how to put the dress on.

After several attempts to don the outfit, and desperate for help, Aysat turned to social media. She posted a video on TikTok in which she fumbled with the dress, trying to figure out its proper structure.
“I don’t know. I have no idea how to put this on. I don’t. Like, there’s holes. I don’t know if my head is supposed to go here? Or maybe here? I don’t know,” she said in the viral clip, which has since amassed 15 million views. “What is this for? There’s one sleeve that, like, does for short. This is a sleeve, right? But then, what is this? Is this a sleeve?”
Zara did not comment on the dress fit when Newsweek reached out via email.
What followed was a series of videos documenting Aysat’s continued attempts to decipher the dress, as viewers chimed in with theories, instructions, and plenty of jokes.
“Girl I don’t know either but now I’m invested!!” said one commenter.
While another wrote: “I tried it at a Zara store. Even the staff couldn’t help.”
“I had to return this dress it’s so confusing,” said another TikTok user.
“I’ve never been more stressed for someone on the internet,” said another viewer.
“I love that the ladies are so invested and genuinely trying to help,” Aysat said, adding that she spent about an hour every night laughing at the comments.
Just four days ago, and after multiple failed attempts, Aysat enlisted the help of her family. With their assistance she managed to get the dress on, though even then, it didn’t quite match the image on Zara’s website.
