If Golden State does not show up tonight in a big way, they will be heading home without much to show for in the Western Conference Semifinals. The Timberwolves have won three straight games in the series to take a commanding 3-l lead, and one has to wonder how much more competitive this series would be right now if Stephen Curry had been in the lineup.
Curry has missed the last three games due to a hamstring injury, leaving a lot on Jimmy Butler’s plate. Butler has been solid in the series, but his 21 points, 5.5 assists, and 7.8 rebounds have not made up for the lost production of their superstar point guard, and the Warriors are suffering the consequences. If Butler can step up tonight and put the team on his back like he did during his time in Miami, it will give Golden State the best chance to force a Game 6.
Anthony Edwards has been borderline unstoppable this series when taking the ball to the hoop, easily getting layups and dunks. He did not shoot the ball well to start the series, but has bounced back, and is up over 40 percent from the three-point line. Edwards is the best player on the court, and he has shown it, as he has averaged 27.3 points through four games.
This is a great NBA matchup that will not disappoint; make sure to tune in and catch all the action.
