Surprise NBA Team Enters Giannis Antetokounmpo Trade Sweepstakes
The biggest question right now in the NBA world is where Giannis Antetokounmpo will be playing by the time the NBA playoffs start.
Will the New York Knicks, the supposed favorite, get him after a summer of jostling? Could the Miami Heat and Pat Riley, who always want to make a big-name splash, finally get their next superstar? Could the Los Angeles Lakers, with newly signed Luka Doncic, create the greatest European 1-2 punch in NBA history by trading for the “Greek Freak”?
On Saturday, the sweepstakes for Antetokounmpo added one more team to the list of contenders looking for the multi-time MVP’s services: the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Minnesota wants to create a duo of Antetokounmpo and their young superstar guard, Anthony Edwards, that would instantly challenge any team, including the defending champions, the Oklahoma City Thunder, in a seven-game series.
The speed and scoring touch of Edwards, combined with the power of Antetokounmpo, could be a difference-maker in the NBA.

NBA insider Chris Haynes linked five teams to actively be working with the Milwaukee Bucks in an attempt to snag Antetokounmpo.
Other than the Timberwolves, Haynes named the Knicks, Heat, Golden State Warriors, and San Antonio Spurs as teams that have inquired about making a deal for one of the top-five players in basketball today.
