The Alabama Crimson Tide and head coach Kalen DeBoer are fresh off of a huge comeback win to open up the College Football Playoff last Friday night on the road against the Oklahoma Sooners.
Early on in the game, things looked ugly for Alabama. At one point, the Crimson Tide trailed the Sooners by a score of 17-0. Despite the adversity, the team found a way to pull together and ended up coming out on top by a final score of 34-24.
With the win, Alabama is now set to play in the Rose Bowl against the top-seeded Indiana Hoosiers and head coach Curt Cignetti.

Needless to say, the showdown against the Hoosiers will be must-watch football. While the Crimson Tide may not be favored to win the game, they feel a high level of confidence heading into the matchup.
On Monday, DeBoer and Alabama received some major recruiting news as the team prepares for the showdown against Indiana.
Steve Wiltfong, a college football insider for On3 Sports, has predicted that the Crimson Tide will end up landing five-star wide receiver Monshun Sales in the 2027 recruiting class.
“With that I’ve logged a prediction in favor of Alabama heading into the new year,” Wiltfong wrote. “Sales is a native of the Yellowhammer State and continues to have the Crimson Tide atop his process. It will be up to the other programs to change the pulse of his process.”
Sales, who hails from Lawrence North High School in Indianapolis, Indiana, has been one of the most coveted prospects in the 2027 recruiting class. 247 Sports currently has him ranked as the No. 1 wide receiver in the 2027 class, as well as the No. 5 overall player in the nation.
Outside of Alabama, there are plenty of high-profile programs pursuing Sales. Some of those programs include Indiana, Michigan, Notre Dame, and Ohio State. There are multiple other teams who are involved in recruiting him.

Being able to land Sales would be a big step in the right direction for the Crimson Tide. He would bring another dynamic wide receiver talent to the program with an endless amount of talent for the future.
Only time will tell if DeBoer and company can secure his commitment, but things seem to be trending that way.
