Colts Activating Starting OL For Critical Week 16 Matchup vs Titans
Anthony Richardson will get some extra fortification in the Indianapolis Colts must-win clash with the Tennessee Titans in Week 16.
The Colts activated starting center Ryan Kelly from injured reserve on Saturday, as per Ian Rapoport.
Kelly has been on the injured reserve list with a knee injury since Nov. 5. Previous to that, Kelly already was hampered by other injuries, namely a neck problem that kept him out of play in Weeks 4 and 5.
But the knee injury was serious enough to land him on injured reserve for the second time in his nine-year NFL playing career.
“It just flared up to the point where I couldn’t mentally or physically go through that another week,” Kelly said. “I thought cleaning it up at the time was the best thing for me and my performance to help the team. Obviously, missing the two weeks there and going on IR for a short term was frustrating.”
