Fans Take to Social Media Over New Rumored New England Patriots Alternative Logo

The New England Patriots have long been the class of the NFL, or at least while former legendary quarterback Tom Brady played for the organization. When Brady was at the helm, they won six Super Bowl titles, making them the most successful franchise in NFL history. But since his departure, the Patriots have fallen back to reality.

New England has only one playoff appearance in four years since he left, losing in the first round. But the Patriots have started to change the narrative around themselves as of this offseason. They mutually parted ways with arguably the greatest coach of all time, Bill Belichick, and brought in a new line of thinking. Belichick had been there for too long, and the Patriots were still left in the dust with him leading the charge.

Now, New England has a better sense of direction, and they are looking completely forward, not backward, at their previous accomplishments.

This seems to include a reportedly new alternative logo that the team quietly released. It’s very different than anything they have put out before, and fans seem not to enjoy it very much.

Here are some of the best reactions to this new alternative logo.

There has been an overwhelmingly negative response to the logo, but luckily for fans, it’s just an alternative. It seems that the logo may indeed be here to stay, as the official Patriots account on X shared it in a post about their new rookie numbers for the upcoming season. You can see it at the bottom of the post on the right side.

While fans may not be too happy with this new look, they will likely feel better about things once the season starts. New England finally looks like they have some sort of direction on the field. Their new head coach, Jerod Mayo, comes from playing under Belichick but will take his own route to success. He knows this fanbase doesn’t accept losing and will do whatever he can to push this organization forward.

New England also drafted a new potential franchise quarterback, Drake Maye, with the No. 3 pick in the 2024 NFL Draft. Maye has a chance to be the new savior for this franchise simply by consistently putting this team back into the postseason. It may take a little more time, but the Patriots are trending upward, even with this new unpopular logo.
