North Korea Fires Ballistic Missile
North Korea fired fired at least one ballistic missile toward its eastern waters on Friday, South Korea’s Joint Chiefs of Staff said.
Relations between the two Koreas remain tense, and the suspected missile test launch was yet another move by Kim Jong Un’s regime to defy U.N. restrictions on its development of strategic weapons.
Earlier this week, the North’s military fired artillery rockets as Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth was visiting the southern side of the demilitarized zone, or DMZ. Two weeks ago, it tested cruise missiles in the Yellow Sea just hours before President Donald Trump was due in South Korea for the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation summit.
This is a developing story. More to come.
