Why Megan Fox’s Ex Just Called Out Machine Gun Kelly
Entertainment gossip and news from Newsweek’s network of contributors
There’s no shortage of drama when it comes to celebrity exes. The latest to make headlines? Megan Fox’s ex-husband, Brian Austin Green, who just took a public shot at her ex-fiancé, Machine Gun Kelly.
On Sunday, February 2, the 51-year-old Beverly Hills, 90210 alum posted (and quickly deleted) a message seemingly aimed at the “Bloody Valentine” rapper, 34.
“Bro. Just be honest for once in your life,” he wrote. “Stop caring so much about how you’re perceived that you will try and drag other people.” He even paired the post with MGK’s own song, “Don’t Let Me Go.”

For those just tuning in, Green and Fox, 38, were married for 10 years before separating in 2020 and finalizing their divorce in 2021. The two share three kids: Noah, 12, Bodhi, 10, and Journey, 8. Shortly after calling it quits with Green, Fox started dating MGK, whom she met on the set of Midnight in the Switchgrass in 2020. The pair got engaged in January 2022.
Green’s latest dig comes after the Transformers star and MGK (whose real name is Colson Baker) confirmed in November 2024 that they were expecting a baby together — only to break up a month later. The news didn’t sit well with Green, who first called out the musician in a TMZ video published in December 2024. “He’s in his 30s, isn’t he?” Green said. “In your 30s, f***. Grow up. Like, she’s pregnant.”
Despite the harsh words, the Knots Landing actor said he ultimately wants Fox to be happy. “I’m heartbroken about it,” he admitted to the outlet at the time. “I know she’s been so excited, and the kids are so excited for life and the change and all of that.”
As for MGK, he hasn’t directly responded to Green’s jabs, but he did seem to address recent reports about his strained relationship with Fox. In a Tuesday, January 28 Instagram post, he wrote, “how can ‘sources say’ when the sources haven’t said anything.”
Fox, on the other hand, has stayed silent about the split, though she has previously opened up about their past miscarriage and how it impacted their relationship.
“That experience was so much harder than I would’ve anticipated,” she told WWD in 2023. “That love element really made this miscarriage really tragic for me and left me with a lot of grief and a lot of suffering.”
In addition to sharing three kids with Fox, Green is also dad to 22-year-old Kassius, whom he shares with ex Vanessa Marcil, and 2-year-old Zane with fiancée Sharna Burgess.
